and two from the North?
Standing around me?
That’s an energy too powerful
for my tears to fight against
Their presence so enviable
downright unbelievable
I know my tears aren’t helpful
and make them feel uncomfortable
As they say themselves:
“Be strong; we need strong people.”
All I can say is I will try to do my best
to keep this heart of mine from always exploding in my chest
and adding one more unpleasant moment
to their already full plates
