Reminding
me
that I cannot allow my own pursuits
of advocacy
activism or even
creativity
to
become accidental acts of hyperbolic caricaturing
of
those I should simply be honouring
and praising
like I would anyone else
Not superhumans
superheroes
or saints
not painted
with a brush of godliness
no extra special status
in this status quo
of unwanted halos
