Another Free Soul

Any friend of Palestine
is a friend of mine
I’ll overlook and tolerate the things we may not agree upon
and focus on
the glue that holds us together
like birds of a
feather
flocking
Our humanity stabbed in the heart repeatedly
by the beyond shocking
images we continue to bear witness to daily
hourly
by the minute
Unaffected observers far from the thick of it
Continually pained by the fact that we are viewing
their suffering
and feel powerless to change anything substantially
about it

Circumstantially
allies

Any friend of Palestine is a friend of mine
We are the ones in true proximity to the divine

To me
everyone else no longer truly exists
whether
friend
foe
family
stranger
between or betwixt
as long as their mentality
of depravity
persists
