Symbiosis
The land does not belong to them
They belong to it
Their gentle hands
fishing
foraging
hunting
gathering
planting
harvesting
respecting her generous bounty
Working harmoniously with her as is fit
for purpose
Never acting over-zealously
out of greed or lust
for power
over her
Taking more than what you need from the land has always been a crime
to people like them
There was a time
when my own people
were cut from the same cloth
made from the same
raw material
as these keepers of the land
and protectors of the Earth
The organic cycles of life
death
birth
and re-birth
the most natural of things
to these most precious of beings
The land does not belong to them
They belong to it
An inseparable unit
A trinity
of mind
body
and soul connections
to and between
people and place
A wealth
and health
that goes completely beyond the physical
that the ghoulish settler-colonisers
and land-grabbers
genocidal-maniacal
by design
will never
know
feel
see
taste
hear
or
touch
No matter how much
they try
The land does not belong to them
They belong to it
Get used to it
