Far from holding a mirror

up to the actions and decisions

these supposed predicates represent

wouldn’t our time be better spent

freeing ourselves of these broadest of

umbrella terms

and digging deeper to the root

the very germination

of the seeds of acts of violence

instead of losing ourselves in the

passive silence

of mere attribution

Terminology as absolution

Extreme behaviour doesn’t occur in a vacuum

The excuse that there is no room

for grounded historical understanding of the

underlying causes

and causal mechanisms

is a cheap one

helping no one

Labels and diagnoses

are nothing more than that

Ignoring the inner workings and context of

violent acts

Name tags

for sh*ts and giggles

No wiggle-room for nuance

and backtracking

through the chain of events and unpacking

the milestones that have gotten us here

Buzz words and constructs

intentionally invented to shift the focus

from the back story to -more often than not-

ruling classes and powers that be

whose power and glory

oftentimes Western values

and whiteness

Judaeo-Christian sense of entitlement

need to be repeatedly emphasized

legitmized

propagandized

to fuel their particular fires

started in their inner sanctums of lies and liars

The bigger picture a mere sideshow

Irrelevant

Clutter and disordering

a world order continually

based on”them” vs. “us”

what a circumstantial circus

circumnavigating

the real issues burning

involving human beings

their greed and/or

what they are grieving

Can the name-calling

just stop please?

Let’s finally start perceiving

each other

warts and all

before the status quo ends up being

everyone’s downfall

Let’s break it down now shall we?

Those who are loved

nurtured

supported

and protected unconditionally

and consistently

by their loved ones

friends and family

by their country and society

and who give the same in return willingly

do not need to exercise brutality

to feel free

Simple as – all laid out on the table

Terror?

Just another invention

a tool to enable

the destabilisation

of those deemed necessary to be controlled

along with their land

its bounty and resources

Courses in this stuff aren’t necessary

It’s far from a mystery

Far from a new story

Beyond age-old

Truth be told
